When it comes time for a rebuild or performance upgrade, let us do the job for you. We have over 28 years of motor building experience, so you can feel confident that it will be done right!
Every motor, no matter what brand or how well it has been taken care of, will eventually need to be rebuilt or replaced. Rebuilding a brushless motor is different than a brushed motor in that brushless motors do not have brushes or commutators to wear out, however bearings eventually wear out and the rotor demagnatizes over time due to normal use, resulting in loss of performance. Also, sensor circuit boards and sensor wires can go bad from normal wear and tear.
Our Pro Brushless Motor Service offers a number of options, from simply evaluating your motor with our standard services (see details below), to bearing and rotor upgrades, as well as new stator and rotor replacement.
*** We accept any brand Epic based motors ***
Here's What Our Standard Service Includes:
Disassemble and inspect complete motor. If we find the motor requires additional parts that are not included in the standard service plan, we will notify you by email or phone before proceeding.
Replace label (if needed)
Test sensor circuit board
Test sensor wire (if you include with your motor)
Test rotor and provide results from our Fantom Rotor Tester
Properly shim rotor within magnetic field
Assemble
Dyno test on Fantom dyno and provide printout
IF YOU CHOOSE ANY OF THE UPGRADE OPTIONS BELOW, YOUR ORIGINAL PARTS WILL ALSO BE RETURNED TO YOU.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
Some companies are offering "Team Edition (hand-selected)" and/or "Dyno Tuned" brushless motors, and charging up to $25 extra for their "special" services. You should be aware that you cannot "dyno tune" a brushless motor, other than change the timing and test the results. Most of the tuning on brushless motors is done with the speed control. Also, beware of companies offering so called "Team Edition" and/or 'hand selected" motors. Your chances of getting a top percentage motor is no better getting one from a company that offers them compared to a company that doesn't offer them, but you will pay a premium price just because they call it a "Team Edition" motor. The reason for this is because companies offering "team edition and/or hand-selected" motors sell 100% of their inventory and you can bet that the majority, if not all, are sold as "team edition" motors. Which part of their inventory is yours coming out of? Chances are the actual top percentage motors are going to their team drivers and the general public gets the rest of the so called "team edition" motors. At Fantom Racing, we DO NOT hand-select motors for anyone...not our team drivers or even the people that work here. When a motor is purchased from us, it is randomly selected, so everyone has the same chance of getting a top percentage motor. Also, we do offer the same upgrade services that these other companies offer, but at a fraction of the cost (see details above).
